Hospital Picaso successfully hosted its second Picaso Robotic & MIS Exchange 2025 (PROMISE), a three-day international conference that gathered over 100 participants daily. The event brought together leading surgeons from Malaysia and across the globe to perform live surgeries, delivery didactic lecture and lead interactive panel forums – further strengthening Hospital Picaso’s promise to strengthen Malaysia’s role in advancing robotic and minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
The comprehensive scientific programme featured live demonstrations of robotic-assisted anterior resections, hernia repair, prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, hysterectomy, and endometriosis surgery; showcasing the breadth of applications across urology, general surgery, gynaecology, and colorectal surgery. Renowned surgeons and surgical teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, China, the Philippines, Thailand, and the United States led the sessions, highlighting cutting-edge practices and innovations in robotic surgery. In addition to surgical demonstrations, delegates engaged in high-level discussions on quality, safety, and credentialing in robotic surgery.
