Associate Professor Dr. Samsiah Mohd Jais is an academic at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Tanjong Malim, Perak. She holds a Doctorate of Counselling from the University of South Australia, Australia. Her area of specialisation is in Mental Health Counselling, specialising in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) counselling. She is the founder of the Clinical Mental Health Counselling Certification Programme and the Crisis and Trauma Counselling Certification Programme and has conducted many workshops and trainings to improve the competence of counsellors in mental health, trauma and crisis counselling practice.
